The sense of satisfaction couldn’t be any greater especially when you have achieved something in your life, whether your career, studies or let say a revenge taken against your biggest enemy. Of course, the latter, to a lesser extent, is “indecent and nasty”. But it’s no doubt a kind of achievement in our life as well, agree?

After so many struggles and countless defeat through the violent and relentless thunderstorm, troubles after troubles, obstacles after obstacles, how many sleepless nights and how many times Jamie had lost his direction and being tossed everywhere just like ship without rudder in this dark, lonely and stormy ocean and how many times he was on the verge of drowning, they all seemed to have him swallowed and yet, he was able to overcome all the hardship and difficulties that have been placed in his life by the Saviour. And yes, Jesus was his guiding star in darkness and sailor when he lost all his direction. There are just too many stories and testimonies to tell but he just want you reader to know that it would all be IMPOSSIBLE WITHOUT GOD.

The bottom line is Jamie had passed his simulator test recently and he was rewarded with 10 days holiday. He planned to make full use of his free time to indulge himself in nice spa and massage but after taking a look at his bank account, that plan was immediately called off even though he thought that he deserved a nice spa. So a change of plan happened in the last minute and a second thought crossed his mind and he decided to pamper himself with other things. So he went around KL and he ended up shopping in KLCC, a place which he will visit every now and then. He went to few boutiques and he found some nice clothes but surprisingly, he decided not to buy them because for one thing his financial status disallowed and another thing is he has learnt to be a wiser shopper in recent years and buy necessary stuff ONLY. So he went to ISETAN and he got some good deals there as shown in those pictures above. He then decided to go back home but just before he exit the mall he saw Haagen-Dazs and he was tempted but a voice told him to walk away and as he did that he was pulled back moments later and he glanced at the ice-cream bar once again and unknowingly he headed straight towards it and that’s how he ended up paying huge price for it. Damn it!!!

The next day he felt bored again and suddenly he realized that he needed a printer/scanner and after telling his mum over his need for a printer, his mum agreed to sponsor him one, yay. He got some good deal for the printer as well thanks to his friend Michell, who works in Harvey Norman. One Canon printer/scanner costs RM220 after discount and free two Canon cartridges ink worth RM 150. He only paid RM220 in total!!! Normal customer won’t get this kinda deal. He then went to have dinner with Michell at Zanmai Sushi and after that went Jusco to buy some groceries. Before leaving the shop, he was tempted by the durian at half price and after much consideration, he decided to share those durians with Michell, each person gets half. Thanks to his extraordinarily big appetite, he then went to eat porridge with one “yao za guai” and a glass of soya milk at YoYo Porridge.

Even though he failed to get a real pamper from nice spa (which he believes he will one day), he was happy with the good deals he got and he couldn’t be any happier when it comes to food and shopping. His little hope is that he can enjoy as much as he can because another wave of trouble is going to hit him soon as he embarks into a new chapter in his flying career………………………………………

Romantic sunset During our visitation to Melaka 2007

Ok, before I go any further talking about the reason why I feel happy for both of them, let me briefly introduce you the two starring of today's topic. The bride you see in the pics above is my secondary school classmate, Penny. Her fiance Tommy (the groom), however, is neither my ex-classmate nor schoomate. Both of them are currently working for ING insurance, and they are among the few top selling agents in their company, and that explains how they get to know each other. Their wedding is set to be held on November 2009 in some five stars hotel, Shangri-la if not mistaken. I feel honoured because I'm invited to attend their grand wedding. Well judging from the pics above, it's not surprising if their wedding is entitled "wedding of the century", at least in my hometown if not the whole Malaysia. I think their wedding is going to cost them a fortune, but then since they are capable to pay for it, I guess they won't mind to stretch their wallet to the extreme, hehehe... After all, it's an once in a lifetime event so it's totally understandable why some people will spare no expense to make things appear good. But some people do the opposite, they choose to do it in an imformal and laid back kinda way. Well, two schools of thought?? Maybe.
Do you know that Penny used to like me in school? I must admit that I had treated her very badly and coldly in school last time. Initially I got excited because I just want the chase, not because I really like her. As we moved on, I felt so irritated by her actions and that's when our friendship turned sour. She was really nice and caring towards me, she prepared home cook meal for me, she baked carrot cheese cake for me and I remember that day she brought only six pieces to school and after distributing to her good friends, she reserved the last piece for me, and so many people were so jealous especially her good friends, hehehe. I remember towards to end of my high school life, just before graduation, I did something bad to her. I now consider my act a terrible mistake. I wrote a very hurtful letter to her, I scolded her and my friend told me she cried after reading that letter. I regretted for what I had done to her. But guess what? She never hated me. Instead, she forgave me and she found a way to wipe out those bitter memories and remember no more the things I did. Today, she still treats me the way she treated me when she first fell for me. Her attitude and sincerity really put me to shame. I wish I hadn't treated her so badly. I won't mind if you call me bastard or S.O.B or jerk after knowing how I treated her. I deserve to be put to shame.
She will soon walk down the aisle with her fiance. I really hope to witness her wedding ceremony. I believe she is a good and faithful wife. Too bad I dunno how to appreciate her goodness. But I believe God has chosen the best one for her, and I should be feeling happy for her because she got a good looking, rich and loving husband. I wish her well in her marriage and I'm glad that I was once her admirer, she always have good taste in choosing boyfriend, doesn't she?? I guess you know what I mean...........................hahaha

Second Before Death

On 29th September 2006, a B737 had a mid air collision with a Embraer Legacy while cruising at 35,000 feet over South America . The Embraer Legacy, though seriously damaged, with the winglet ripped off, managed to make a landing at a nearby airstrip in the midst of the Amazon jungle. The crew and passengers of the Embraer Legacy had no idea what they had hit. The B737, however, crashed killing all crew and passengers on board.
The two photos attached above were apparently taken by one of the passengers in the B737, after the collision and before the aircraft crashed. The photos were retrieved from the camera's memory stick. You will never get to see photos like this. In the first photo there is a gaping hole in the fuselage through which you can see the tailplane and vertical fin of the aircraft. In the second photo one of the passengers is being sucked out of the gaping hole.
Photos taken inside the plane. These photos were found in a digital Casio Z750, amidst the remains in Serra do Cachimbo. Although the camera was destroyed, the Memory Stick was recovered. Investigating the serial number of the camera the owner could be identified, as Paulo G. Muller, an actor of a theatre for children known in the outskirts of Porto Alegre. It can be imagined that he was standing during the impact with the Embraer Legacy, and during the turbulence he managed to take these photos, seconds after the tail loss the aircraft plunged, so the camera was found near the cockpit. the structural stress probably ripped the engines away, diminishing the falling speed, protecting the electronic equipment but not, unfortunately, the victims. Paulo Muller leaves behind two daughters, Bruna and Beatriz, from a previous relationship. (Quoted from unknown source)
Q and A
Why did the oxygen mask(yellow colour as shown in the pic) drop the moment the Boeing jet was split into two after suffering mid air collision?
So here's are some background knowledge to begin with. Human being can breathe normally on ground because we are so used to sea level pressure, temperature and density. Generally, almost 99 percent of the land on this earth are above sea level. For instance, the land in Malaysia is 10-100 feet above sea level, averagely. In certain area in Africa, the land is 5000-6000 feet above sea level. And in Netherland, Holland, the land is 1 feet below sea level, that's why retaining walls are built to prevent sea water from entering the country.
As we go higher, let say at Genting Highland which is 6000 feet above sea level, the air becomes colder and thinner because temperature, pressure and density reduce with height. That's why some people find it difficult to breathe as they travel higher and higher from sea level. The same goes to travelling by airplane. Luckily, thanks to the high-tech design by aircraft manufacturer, a system calls "Pressurization System" is introduced to every aircraft which flies above 10000 feet above sea level. The purpose of this system, just as the name implies, is to pressurize the aircraft in high altitude say 10000-40000 feet above sea level. Without this system, it's impossible to breathe inside the aircraft, just like fish out of water. This system ensures that the cabin of the aircraft is maintaining a pressure at 6000 feet averagely throughout the flight even though the actual height of the aircraft can be 30000 or 40000 feet high so that the passenger can breathe normally, as if you're breathing at Genting though you're actually at a level 5-6 times higher than Genting.
That's why you'll experience ear block or ear pain when aircraft is climbing and descending, because the pressurization system is constantly monitoring itself to maintain that 6000 feet value regardless of the actual aircraft height. Of course, just before landing, it'll automatically equalize itself to match with the actual aircraft altitude and when the aircraft touches down, the 6000 is no longer maintained and is adjusted to whatever height the airport is, say 10 feet, and everything is back to normal on ground again.
The question is, what if the pressurization system fails to maintain 6000 feet cabin altitude? When this happens, the indicator in the cockpit(pilot's area) will show a dramatic increase until it hits 14000 feet mark, the oxygen mask will automatically drop above every passenger's seat and you need to wear it immediately because the aircraft is DE-pressurizing. In another words, the pressure is leaking and if no immediate action to descend to safe altitude, all passenger and crew onboard will SUFFOCATE and will lead to unconsciousness and death eventually.
Now you may be asking how can the pressurization leak? When there's a hole in the aircraft, it'll leak. The degree of the leakage depends on the magnitude of the hole. Small hole means slow leak, big hole means quick leak. That's to say, an aircraft must be perfectly SEALED inflight to prevent pressure leakage. The above pictures show that the Boeing jet was split into two inflight at 35000 feet, which means a BIG hole in the cabin. That's why oxygen mask dropped because the pressurization has exceeded 14000 feet (no longer 6000 feet as previously mentioned under normal condition) and quickly matched with the actual aircraft height, 35000 feet in this case at the time the aircraft was split, and you're really breathing as if you're at 35000 feet which is crazy and impossible.
So, I hope those of you who are interested to know have learnt somethg today. And I hope you will now realise the importance of the demo for the usage of oxygen mask by cabin crew every time you travel by airplane because it is related to safety and your life. Please don't take the demo lightly, because you never know what will happen in your flight.

Even if I lost all my memories one day, I know that I would still remember those moments my friends and I spent together. Friend, do you know what is the most beautiful and unforgettable memory one could ever have? It's the time you spent with the people you love and do things which you enjoy doing. I don't have many friends in my life, because many the times I fail to find a sincere friend who I can trust and rely on. Of course, I must admit that there were few friends of mine who were really caring and understand me well. Unfortunately, sometimes, those who you think you can count on disappoint you by doing something, whether intentionally or unintentionally, to hurt you and eventually a wonderful friendship hit the rock. Undoubtedly, I was bitterly upset by them and the stuff they did. But I won't blame them because I always choose to believe that it was never their intention to hurt me, even though I could be wrong.
Years went by and some of my good friends have left me and some have started new life with new people. What can I say? Well, c'est la 'vie, that's life!! Friend comes and goes in our life and very few will remain by your side to care for you when you're sick, when you're facing challenge or when you're lonely. Human being are selfish, admit it. But I am always grateful for their short presence and companionship because they have given me the most wonderful and the sweetest memories in my life which will forever be kept in my memory bank. The past few years have not been easy for me. Despite having to face many challenges and difficulties, many of my friends did extend their care and lend me their helping hand and few even offer me shoulder to cry on. Every little things they did will be remembered and someday I would repay their kindness with kindness if ever they need help in future.
Today, like many, I have moved on in my life as well. I'm so damn busy in my career and I have made many new friends as well. In comparison, those friends I know now are more cunning and selfish than my old friends. No wonder people say your friends in school are and will always be your best friend throughout your life. Today's society is so competitive and your colleague or co-worker are always competing with you. No wonder so many people have so many enemies in their work place.
I went to Subang Parade today because my partner wanna have some discussion with me on our coming exam. It did bring back a lot of memories the moment I stepped right into the mall. You know what? The last time I went there was more than two years ago. I still remember I went there with my ex-colleague who had provided me shelther when I first came to KL to work. How time flies! I remember I went to the Carrefour there to buy few watermelons for his family as an act of gratitude for their help. I went to that same Carrefour I went two years ago. Nothing much there and after having been explored all the major shopping malls and supermarkets in KL these few years, I now realised that that Carrefour next to Subang Parade is one of the lousiest I have ever been because it's smelly, dirty and messy inside, still prefer the lousy Giant in Nilai, at least it's clean and organised inside, hahahahaha.......
When I arrived home, I plugged in my external and start browsing through those pictures I took in the past. I realise that every picture has a story. And surprisingly, I remember every story behind the picture. I remember the occasion, people, venue and time. There are just too many stories to tell. And suddenly, I miss all my old friends so badly, so badly to the extent I wish I could turn back the time. But past is past, only memories will remain. I set aside everything tonight just to walk down through the memory lane, and I discovered a lot of forgotten stories, and I have decided to retell these stories for those who are interested to listen...............................

Pilot's Inflight Meal (MAS)

I know many people out there have been wondering for a long time what kind of food pilots get served onboard especially those legacy airlines and major national carrier throughout the world. Well, I don't think I need to explain or describe those foods because the pictures here are worth more than thousand of words. Knowing MAS as a Five-star airlines, the food they serve inflight is surely not less than five-star, even though at times they serve bad food, not to some people's liking to be more precise. I guess this topic is defintely gonna be an interesting one and those pics will no doubt be an eye-opener for many of us here. Have fun browsing thru and drooling, hehehe.................
